Vetiver Treks to Athens

It's no secret that it's been a slow year for concerts here in Athens. With the exception of Wilco last week, we really haven't had too many national acts come through the area. So, it was genuinely surprising last week when I was looking through tour dates and came across one for Vetiver at the Union, on May 11. I'm not a huge follower of the band, but I really dug their Sub Pop debut; Tight Knit. They're a group with a pretty folk-y sound, so hopefully they'll draw a crowd here; unlike the woefully under-attended Oakley Hall show at the Union last year. Joining Vetiver will be a group out of San Francisco called the Papercuts. I'm pretty excited, hopefully I'll see some of you folks at the show...
